January 1st, 2009 by jered

well 2008 has come to a close, and i stand at the gates of 2009 both excited and scared. this last year was such an unpredictable whirlwind, that its a bit frightening to think about what more the new year can bring. new years always brings about reminiscing and reflecting on this past 365 days, which i always enjoy. there have been a lot of changes in my life, and the lives around me. i’ve seen friends and family; graduate, get married, have kids, lose kids, lose jobs, move away, return home, succeed and fail. but i will go on record as saying 2008 has got to be my favorite year yet by far. so let me walk you through with some lists and such to look back on good times.

in the past year i have done things i never dreamed i’d do or experience. i was around my passion for art and music more than i have been in my lifetime. i was honored to meet and share life with incredible people from around the world. people who tour, make tours happen, teach, study, play soccer, give of themselves, create, sacrifice, make people laugh, make us remember our pasts, people who have taught me to truly appreciate what i have.

what i have are incredible friends. people who encourage and inspire me daily. reasons for me to get up and take on new days. reasons for me to work harder, do more and do it better. i have an amazing family. a sister who shows me what patience and love look like. grandparents who constantly give any and all they have. a mother who serves and serves and serves and….and a father who inspires me to new heights. who pushes me as a son, a friend, a follower. i have the support of these people, as well as those i only know through technology. “fans”, friends, enthusiasts, whatever you call them…i call them friends, and their comments and love for what i have been able to do this last year is incredible and i am undeserving. lastly but not least, i have an incredible Lord and Savior who has placed a call on my life. a call to serve, a call to minister, a call to love. daily i am given opportunities to interact with His children, and i count each as a blessing.

thanks for a special year. cheers to you. and here’s to making 2009 that much more!
God Bless each of you. i hope 2009 brings more of you into my days, and allows me to spend more time with those of you i already know. you’re a blessing to my life. thanks for walking through it with me.
