last weekend i spent a day with one of my favorite bands, rise against. i’ve loved them since my buddy justin took me to see a strung out concert and rise against opened (and blew them off the stage). from that night on, i was sold.

meeting them was an honor. very legit dudes, very humble, funny, intentional, and grateful. i had the pleasure of documenting their day at “epicenter” for alternative press. we avoided the heat, the hung out  with a “make a wish” kid, did some painting for charity, and rocked a few thousand faces off.

a few weeks ago i got to tag along for the last days of the 2010 vans warped tour. my friends in the rocket summer were gracious enough to let me sleep on their bus and hang out, as i worked with them, twloha, and invisible children.

in those days i met and befriended haste the day, deas vail, caught up with my old high school buddies the cobra skulls, finally got to shoot an alkaline trio set, and a few others along the way. it was really a great week. for many many other reasons than photo alone. but, this being a photo blog, here are some shots!

we took this one in san francisco when i was riding along for the end of their winter tour. bryce is awesome. and dang…i have sooooooooo many shots of him that i want to post! someday we’ll have something cool for you all. for now…
