Day in the Life of…
This last weekend, Alternative Press sent me to the Warped Tour stop in Ventura, CA. Perfect overcast day, around 70 degrees of awesome. A great setting to capture “A Day in the Life of” The Rocket Summer.
Really fun project AP is gonna do on Warped this summer. I was stoked to do one of (if not) the first, and it was even better hanging for the day with one of my closest friends, Bryce Avary.

Love the toothbrush shot. Love all of them, actually. Especially the third one, he’s always so absorbed in his guitar when he’s playing - total dedication.

LOVE the Rocket Summer. While on Tour he made a random stop in Toronto and gave maybe about a week to two weeks notice that he’d be playing a gig. Went there and loved EVERY MINUTE OF IT. Especially when he came into the crowd and sang in front of my friend Melissa and I <3 Truly an amazing artist!!!!!! Love all his stuff from Calendar Days to Hello Good Friend (my two favourite albums) to all of his recent stuff. Have even converted a few friends!

Bryce Avary opened my eyes. I was able to find God with the help of the Rocket Summer, which saved my life.
I hope one day I can meet him, and thank him, and show him the “You tell me to live” I have tattooed on my back.
I can’t wait to see him at Warped Tour this year.

I love Bryce!! Saw him in Lpool the other month, stayed to meet him and he was so lovely… most awesome gig I have ever been to, just because he cares for his fans a heck of a lot more than some other people do!!
He just did so much to entertain us scousers because it was a small venue it was so intimate, i loved it!!!

Hey Jared! I always look forward to photos that you shoot of Bryce, they never fail to impress me! Super cool to see what he’s up to on Warped; I’ll be seeing him in August at the very end! Awesome that you do this, photography I mean. I just got a Nikon D3000 for my birthday, and hoping to maybe make photography some sort of profitable hobby maybe! Hahah, well anyways I’m commenting to comment, but also cause it’d be super cool to win a signed print! TRS has been my favourite band for going on three years now. You rock!

I really wasn’t thrilled about the line up for Warped Tour this year. The absolute only reason I’m going is because Bryce is, and because I have never missed any shows of his when he’s in new york. he’s wonderful and these pictures really do bring out the warmth in his soul. He’s such a loving guy and I can’t wait to see him July 17th. Thank you for everything Bryce. and Jered, these pictures are breathtaking. thank you !! <3
