a few weeks ago i got to tag along for the last days of the 2010 vans warped tour. my friends in the rocket summer were gracious enough to let me sleep on their bus and hang out, as i worked with them, twloha, and invisible children.

in those days i met and befriended haste the day, deas vail, caught up with my old high school buddies the cobra skulls, finally got to shoot an alkaline trio set, and a few others along the way. it was really a great week. for many many other reasons than photo alone. but, this being a photo blog, here are some shots!

we took this one in san francisco when i was riding along for the end of their winter tour. bryce is awesome. and dang…i have sooooooooo many shots of him that i want to post! someday we’ll have something cool for you all. for now…

back in june i had the extreme pleasure of joining bayside in upstate new york while the were tracking their new record! they were working with producer gil norton (who’s done foo fighters, dashboard confessional, jimmy eat world, & pixies records!!!)

while i can’t say much, or share much…we did put together a little photo for the current issue of alternative press (on stands now!) check out their news, and the photo in print.

here’s the shot that ran. i couldn’t recall seeing a photo like this in ap’s “in the studio” section, so i thought it’d be cool to do something different, hence the 4 strip photo.

this record is going to be pretty epic. have i steered you wrong? so trust me….aight? make sure to catch them on tour this fall!!!!!!!!!

they did an end of the AP Tour wrap up, and chose to post my photos from the LA show.

AP also does an “oral history of” some band, but in this issue, to celebrate their 25th anniversary, they started an oral history of alternative press and, gotta say i was honored they asked for one of my live shots to kick off the article.
