over the weekend i got to try out a few of my new toys…and what better way then shooting an Underoath show in irvine, CA?
my buddy Brent is the tour manager, and was kind enough to hook me up with the only photo laminate for the night (watching the other 45 photographers leave the photo pit after 3 songs….felt kinda nice).
it was quite the evening and i must say i was not let down. the guys played a really amazing show which blew me away from start to finish.

i gotta keep some of the crazy-awesome ones under wraps….
that’s the bummer of working with bands, labels, management, etc….you gotta keep things secret until they’re ready to reveal.
bear with me. i’m sure they’ll make their way to the site someday.

but seriously, i’m sorry. i did a poor job upkeeping the blog. (p.s. get subscribing to the blog people! maybe i’ll post more frequently)
here comes some photos for you. i’ll write up about them after….

and here comes the info:
1) TAT - this band was on the MxPx tour, and were living on our bus for a few days. they are from england, and they ruled me day after day. just amazing people first off, but a kick @ band on top of it. in chicago they let me shoot some photos.
2) The Secret Handshake - Luis and i have shot photos a few times, whether that be live or shoot, so we thought it’d be cool to do again during the Rocket Summer tour in florida. real quick, and real good.
3 & 4) House of Heroes - to be honest, i’d never heard of these dudes before meeting up on the Relient K tour. and nightly i was blown…..away! seriously, do yourself a favor and check them out (just click HERE) and get your ears rocked better than they have in years. i shot their set a few nights. really bitchen dudes!
5 - 9) Relient K - this first photo was on stage during their performance inside madison square garden. that was a quick but awesome experience for us all. roaming the floors and halls of the epic garden!
the second photo is the radical Thiessen singing some tunes. every night he brought it again and again.
the third is good ole ethan luck rockin that drum set all over that riser. again, nightly this dude was all about it. and always with a smile or smirk. maybe he was up to something?
photo four is the multi-talented jonathan schneck (yes of www.jonathanschneck.com) playing the…um….keys…no wait….xylophone….no that’s not it…um…marimba…..viber-harp….(ok, you can’t say i didn’t try to get it right. well that’s him warming up during soundcheck in virginia.
and lastly…is my buddy john warne in the background of the spooky photo (no they weren’t playing in a cemetery, it’s set dressing!) yeah, everynight the guys came onstage dressed in some “spooky” gear…with halloween decorations all over the stage (hence the RIP tombstone in the foreground)
so there you have it. you’re a little caught up.
i did a few shoots with Bryce of The Rocket Summer, and a couple with Relient K that should be making their way to print sometime soon. once that happens, i’ll share some more with you.
for now….i leave you with this.
i’ve missed you all. so write me a note and tell me you missed me too. it’ll make me smile!
ok, i’m outty

p.s. i still have that 17-40L series Canon lens for sale!!!!

Today I’m in Houston, TX. Thought it’d drop a quick note to the 30 people who may read this this month.
Being out on the road now for over a month; city after city, club after club…I catch myself taking stock of my current life situation.
I can not recall a time in my life where I have felt more blessed. My relationships with those close to me back at home have grown leaps and bounds by the deep conversations we’ve shared.
New relationships bloom everyday with the bands, crew, and fans I meet and spend my life with. Doors are opening everywhere, and the only struggle I seem faced with is which ones should I walk through. (sweet dilema to have!)
I have 2 weeks left on the road before a break for the holidays. The first of which will be Thanksgiving. More so than ever before can my thanks not even begin to be put into words.
Thanks to the people who support me, the bands and crew for housing me and giving me a chance.
Special thanks to MxPx, Bryce and the Summer….
More to come….
